Bill 23 will not make houses more affordable. It will, however, increase property taxes, reduce our resilience against climate change, reduce biodiversity, and destroy irreplaceable land. It will reduce our ability to feed people in Ontario by paving over prime agricultural land. It's clearly lining the pockets of developers.
This bill does absolutely nothing for the public good. It is short-sighted and actively dangerous. People are going to die in the decades to come from this legislation because of increased flooding that comes from paving over wetlands. All so De Gasperis and his buddies can make even more money that they don't already need.
