I agree with some measures in the act. For environmental reasons and in particular to mitigate climate change, we need greater population densities in cities and suburbs. So I agree with the proposal for zoning changes to allow multiple-resident buildings in areas where they are presently not allowed.
However, I disagree with the proposal to expand urban boundaries beyond what the cities themselves have decided. To open up more farmland for housing degrades our ability to grow food, and to open up natural areas for housing removes important areas for wildlife and flood control.
