I oppose the plan to repeal the Climate Change Mitigation Act. Damage from disasters caused by climate change is now costing insurance companies billions of dollars in claims and Ontarians will be faced with huge increases in premiums to cover these costs as well as devastating personal lose and suffering as a result of floods and fire in Ontario.
Provincial infrastructure is being heavily impacted by these more extreme weather events and the government (taxpayers) will need to spent billions of dollars to repair essential services.
