Hello - training qualifications for Building Inspectors were just the main aspects to achieve Ministry of Housing Certificates for Legal, the House, Part 9 Technical, Part 3 Large Buildings and Part 3 Complex Buildings.

Qualifications don't always refer to skill level in construction. The proposed system allows for a greater probability of passing. Those who have knowledge may fail an exam due to the structure, not the content. With repetition, it is possible to pass when knowledge exists. Degradation of qualifications, would in effect lessen the expertise that is now in the field.

Digital code access should not be granted during exams. Exams must be structured in a logical sequential order, rather than the ability to search through the sections during time constraints. As a person who grew up with digital networks and technology as a daily tool; the paper code is used daily as the reference manual for design and inspection.

Increasing the pass rate for quantity will not improve the outcome of homes built. It will reduce the quality of responsibility and knowledge of the industry.
