copy of the Building Code during their BCIN exams as along as the PDF copy provided is searchable.
1.3 Provide better access to the PDF copy maybe via publications Ontario or the MMAH site.

I believe the OBOA CBCO designation is far superior to the ministry exams. When i started in this field i was a 40 year old and i could go to Toronto and take a course and converse with the facilitator and classmates who had major experience in the field.

I have been a facilitator for MMAH and an instructor for the OBOA for nearly 20 years. I do not understand or agree with the concept that a building official who will never in their career see a rapid transit be required to be tested on that component of the Code.

The Ministry should look very carefully at allotted times to complete a qualification exam. When a building practitioner is reviewing the OBC, or the Act, they will take the necessary time, whatever is required, to make proper, responsible decisions for building design and safety.
