The proposed changes to the Conservation Authority Act are simply another demonstration of this governments total disregard for our environment. Bill 23 must be repealed before more damage is done to our environment and surrounding communities. This legislation will do nothing for housing affordability. It will simply generate more profit for the developers. The current housing crisis will not be solved by private developers who are motivated solely by increased profits. And transferring the financial burden of growth to the existing tax base is totally irresponsible and immoral.
