I am against passage of the Bill 4, Cap and Trade Cancellation Act, 2018.

I think it is important to have a climate change plan to reduce emissions, to help people save energy, and to create jobs in the burgeoning clean energy economy. I want Ontario to immediately end subsidies for fossil fuel companies and to redirect this money to clean energy solutions so that Ontario will be 100% powered by clean energy by 2050.

I support Ontario putting a price on pollution to make polluters pay for emissions and returning the revenues to the pockets of Ontarians so we can lower our carbon footprint. It is important for Ontario’s position in the world and in the global economy to have legally binding emissions targets in line with our obligations to the Paris Climate Agreement.
