How do you justify any of this as a taxation and regulatory body? These structures have fixed units which are affixed into the lake and river beds to keep them sturdy. They must have the sufficient systems on board that any normal water going livable vessel must have. As a cottage owner on an infected lake I have seen ever raising taxes on property, which obviously these structures avoid. I have seen never ending permits on the abilities to create structures such as docks with non stop environmental assessments. I have seen non stop criticisms and pressure to upgrade sewage systems with which we always have to comply. I am presently faced with huge bureaucracy to re-permit to rebuild an almost century old cottage and huge waterfront restrictions and you would even consider making this feasible??? It is unacceptable that these are not just outlawed, just based on what current land owning, good tax paying citizens have complied with for years.
