Safety should be considered, If your in an anchorage , safe harbor you should be able to anchor and utilize a stern line to shore
Also weather isn’t always safe to leave after a 7 day stay. So we are to just leave in adverse conditions
The cost of fuel to get to these anchorages is also a concern. We like to get to an anchorage and then sit for 10 to 12 days to enjoy the area
It takes a day to get in and settled and a day to depart. Giving a boater 5 days there
Guess after 28 years of boating in Canada we’ll go to the USA where there isn’t these silly rules.
We have been blown into covered portage cove for over a week. We were blown into bad river for over 2 weeks. You just can’t leave on any given day.
What happen to safe refuge ???
