I live less than 1 km from the property in question. It is already a huge disaster, and has been for many years already.
This land owner has been digging and smashing around this property, likely without any permission from the conservation authority. I have asked to build a pond on my property, and was asked for ver specific dimensions, size shoreline, description plant species, etc. This application took a long time and finally was approved. So looking at the pond he has created with an entire structure built on top of the water tells me that he likely did not apply for a pond and certainly the structure that is on top of the water likely has no permit. if this is the type of compliance, he gives to the Conservation Authority now I doubt very much he will follow the rules that are specified in this application. I fear that once the application is granted, there will be substantial disregard for these rules, and we will have no one to complain to because he will say that he has successfully gained a permit. I will submit some photos for this application board to have on file
