I have moved to this country in 1974 because of the freedoms this country offered. Since the early 80s these freedom are steady taken away and more and more restrictions are a fact of life.
I am a boater with a 38 ft cruiser and respect lakeshore property owners and their waterfront shoreline. However it seems over the years they have taken over waterfront property and with it limit access to the water by the general.public and now theg want to control the water as well.
At Georguan bay we already have problems with waterfront properties assuming they own up to the water wearever that waterline may be and do not want people in front of their house at the Beach. Ifeel these proposals are going to far and will start to hurt the entire boating industry which is a big part of tourism .
Instead one should focus more on the reclass boaters out there with large wakes effecting shoreline and private property or those who disrespect privacy of cottagers. We the boaters did not rise up and protested when bay shorelines were subdivided to build houses because we wanted to anchor there. We need find a way to coexist not restrict .it's not deep pockets that should control everybody else.
