The proposed changes are in my opinion ridiculous and from reading the many online boating forums I belong to 95% of the comments are the same . Cruising boats and sailboats should not have these new limitations. It seems the only issue is these “ floating cottages “ like the ones on the severen waterway. Perhaps allowing municipalities to charge a tax or limit the numbers for those structures would be acceptable since the do not have the capability to navigate . Boating is just another way to explore our beautiful province and increased regulations will only deter people from enjoying this experience.
Too much regulation will only lead to people finding ways to rebel against it .
