I fully support this new proposal to change the requirments for camping on water over Ontario's public land for all the reasons given. I am a 4th generation cottage owner whose family adheres to all the regulations to support the water environment, the natural habitat, the lake quality and peacefulness that I want to have. I've witnessed water craft tie up to small islands on my lake and remain there for weeks, leaving garbage, human and dog waste and using the trees as firewood. My property taxes have gone up substantially in the the past 70 years as well and I resent that camping water craft have all the perks of a waterfront habitat but don't contribute as cottagers must.
