If I understand correctly, the present elected Minister of Mines wants to replace the Director of Exploration and the Director of Mines Rehabilitation. Bill 71 Building More Mines should not be about accelerating the process or removing existing public appointments to do what needs to be done.
What I recommend is not to have a mines minister take over but instead have a Mines Master fulfill the duties required to professionally perform the position of both directors.
