According to the IPCC immediate action on reducing carbon emissions is necessary. The cancellation of cap and trade in Ontario leaves the province without an immediate plan. There was and still is substantial revenue to support initiatives to get Ontario less dependent on fossil fuels. I am not suggesting this was the best plan environmentally, but it was one, and it is extremely costly, regressive and irresponsible to be ending it as you have been. Climate change should not be so partisan, we are all affected. Inaction is irresponsible, and policy and law that serves to increase climate emissions is frightening and deadly. I demand science-based policy and law on this issue.
