Putting barriers to more renewable energy is regressive thinking. At some point the government will be faced with a decision on electricity generation facilities. The concept of demonstrated local need is rediculous when our electrical grid is both province-wide as well as feeding/drawing from other provinces and the US. Working on a strategy to store alternative energy to level out the demand peaks versus capacity should be the focus, along with reduction in greenhouse gases, of and bill amendments.
