In addition, we also have scientific proof that air pollution, resulting from carbon based fuels are causing premature deaths and long term health ailments and this in turn is increasing healthcare costs at an unsustainable rate. This phenomena is being recognized by developing economies such as India, Chile, China and others and they are investing government capital to address these issues. How can developing nations be focused on this and our highly developed economy is running away from it.

Surely reducing the health and environmental impacts of climate change needs to trump buck a beer, why are the priorities of our provincial government so poorly aligned to the long term health of our province. If we continue to roll out buck a beer, will the Ontario Government eliminate RIDE programs so that those participating in the buck a beer program will not be hampered with financial hardship should they get charged for driving under the influence???
