I strongly object to the cancellation of cap and trade. With climate change forecasts showing dire circumstances that threaten the well-being of human life on earth we are at a moment in history when it is essential that we take steps to drastically reduce carbon emissions. This program has been proven to work and frankly, is the best, most immediate solution we have right now. There is more we can and should do but this is the least we can do. Given that no solution at all has been put forth by the Ontario government to replace this program, it is even more important that we stick with it.
Be on the right side of history. Trust the evidence we have. Don't make Ontario look like a bunch of ignorant, dangerous buffoons in the eyes of future generations. Keep cap and trade.
