I am concerned that announcements were made indicating the Cap and Trade program ended were made prior to receiving public comments such as saving 5 cents on gas prices. In addition, I am also concerned that some badly needed projects were suddenly left underfunded as an example funding for a Peterborough Compost Facility was announced which came from cap and trade funding this project is meant to extend the life of a landfill which is set to exceed capacity prior to 2025 according to environmental consultants. There are currently no announced alternatives to reducing green house gases and or jobs related to the environment. Companies which bought allowances might not trust future public incentives to reduce green house gas emissions. Lawsuits from California and Quebec might become an issue. Parts of the legislation are also likely unconstitutional as it relates to an international agreement. Thank you for your time.
