It is essential for Ontario to implement its own carbon tax policy. This is the most efficient, and economically sensible approach to reducing carbon emissions. Many economists have studied this issue, and carbon taxes are the best and most efficient way forward. It is irresponsible to cancel the previous government's cap-and-trade program without replacing it with another approach to taxing carbon emissions.
It is idiotic to use tax dollars to fight the Federal government in court. Stop the court cases and grandstanding, and get back to work contributing in a positive way to shifting Ontario to a cleaner greener future.
The idea that the green energy act caused high electricity prices is simply a lie, as this is only a tiny proportion of electricity costs, which are primarily a result of decades of policy errors by all parties.
We must act to reduce carbon emissions. Future generations and the planetary ecosystem as a whole will die in misery if we don't.
