This proposal allows Wetland Hazards in the rural area to take place without ground truthing. This will have an affect on agricultural businesses and rural homeowners. Identifying hazards for the urban area is very important as it can have an affect on areas with population. However, having wetland hazard mapping in a rural area that has not been GROUND TRUTHED again constrains development as there will be setbacks to these wetland hazards. Even if it is a small inclusion of water can be called a wetland hazard.
I thought we were finally reducing red tape to build more homes so why is there another proposal in the ERO on the table to create more obstacles to any kind of development in the rural area? Development includes all sizes and scopes of projects, ie a shed, small garage, home addition etc…
