The green energy act enables Ontario to continue its transition to more sustainable sources of energy for the future. This act removes a lot of the bureaucratic red tape associated with some of these medium to large scale projects. Before considering to cancel this program a proper economic analysis of the current total grid needs to be completed. Also long term energy demand growth and how we intend to meet that demand needs to be properly considered. The revenue generated from projects installed through the green energy act has benefited a lot of rural residents of Ontario.
