Personal comment re: ERO 019-7446
I am very concerned that the huge amount of water being requested is not necessary for aggregate washing considering: 1. that the water being taken is of the highest quality drinking water known of the area ; and 2. other options are available.
In regards to point 1, several tests have been done regarding the quality water within the Oro Moraine and the results are consistently "the best in the world" (as reported by the water bottling company from their well on Line 9 N Oro-Medonte).
As for point 2. rather than using and contaminating this fresh pure water, consider using water taken from Lake Simcoe or Georgian Bay that is already somewhat contaminated, bring to the site via tanker trucks or pipeline. Perhaps expensive but conserves the pure moraine water for other uses.
There has already been push-back by the public about this proposal and the seemingly high volume of water bring requested. Please take into consideration the quality of water being asked for, and the quantity.
