I do not support this…

I do not support this proposal by Sarjeant aggregate cement company to take more water from the Oro moraine watershed system. The company should invest in water recycling technology to use the water they already take and use. It would appear the company does not want to invest the funds for this technology in order to maximize profits and line the pockets of business interests. The water resources in Oro-Medonte require maximum conservation and preservation. This proposal by Sarjeant should be refused. The future environment is perilously in jeopardy with the current climate crisis and this proposal by Sarjeant is a non-progressive request that is still in line with the old school thinking from the wasteful and polluting policies of the 1970s and 1980s. As a citizen of the Township I do not support the proposal to take water. In fact the majority of residents in the Township oppose this proposal by Sarjeant.
