RE: Construction Dewatering. The removal of the 400,000 L/d/work area cap is welcome. Oftentimes, as engineers, we are faced with the decision of whether to apply for PTTW or not when our estimated water taking is near 400,000L/d because if there is an exceedance of volumes during work, that could result in complications with the contractor or delays to the project (e.g., to prepare a PTTW application). However, I think that it may be worthwhile to add to the proposal a requirement to notify the Conservation Authority in cases where water-taking is expected to exceed 400,000 L/d because they may have some input in these more intensive water-taking scenarios.
