Respecting the environment is expensive but we can't be selfish. There is no doubt our actions are suffocating the planet (I understand chemistry and don't understand how there can be any debate regarding the issue unless there's money involved in saying otherwise [which of course there is]).
Doing everything we can to protect our species in the future is the only responsible choice, no matter the cost to our standard of living now. Really though, there is much to gain financially over the long term for investing in green projects including job creation.
To be honest I don't think cap and trade is the best way to go about saving our species but it is giving important green projects funding. If you can come up with a different strategy that is even better for the environment I am in full support but I assume the reason for scrapping cap and trade has everything to do with saving money for careless corporations than coming up with a better environmental strategy.
Please don't be selfish, the survival of our species until the sun "dies" (billions of years from now) rests in your hands Doug Ford/Conservative government!
