Cancelling cap and trade is a mistake for two major reasons:
1) climate change is real and doing nothing is negligent. We owe it to future generations of Canadians to at least try to do our part. If the government doesn't agree with cap and trade as a climate change initiative, then propose a new solution or incremental improvements.
2) waste of taxpayer money. Fighting the feds to make sure we do nothing about climate change is a waste of time and money that could be spent better elsewhere. As a fiscal Conservative, this bothers me.

We have an opportunity to be leaders here, and we should take it. I don't ever want to have to answer the question to my children or grandchildren of "why didn't you do anything when you knew there was a problem?"

I used to be a card carrying Conservative, until the sudden policy/position shifts of the current government. Please stop wasting tax payer money like the previous government did. Please spend your time and our money doing something For the People of Ontario. Please be the leaders we elected you to be.
