It is vital that all of the land that was removed from the Greenbelt designation be returned. We are stewards of this land for our descendants. It is crucial that we protect native species of plants and animals. Protection of greenbelt land is a good beginning, although we need to think much more broadly about the environmental impacts of human activity and to minimize that impact through the use of science.
