Please do not use culling as a control. Chronic Wasting Disease is not transmissible to humans. There is a humane alternative to lethal testing, RAMALT, that does not involve killing the animal.

Any potential threats of introduced species must be assessed with unbiased, scientific scrutiny and any measures to address those must adopt compassionate conservation and peaceful coexistence strategies. Any manner of lethal control must be a last resort and well-targeted.
I would like to see dedicated funding to the Ontario Invasive species Council who does fabulous work.
I would like to see more coordinated work with PMRA to accelerate the work around herbicides and what can be used for terrestrial and where appropriate, aquatic species.

One reason animals become “invasive” because people keep them as pets or in roadside zoos, and they then escape or are abandoned. Ontario has virtually no restrictions on keeping exotic wildlife in captivity.
