This amendment should have a public consultation process. I agree the lands must be placed back in. I disagree with this amendment where land adjustments will be a solely political process. This opens possibilities for another majority government to vote for land removal or illegitimate land swaps. This should be both a legislative and government staff process so that there can be transparency.

In the many challenges we face today, opening up greenfield development is not the way to go. Environmental protection should be top of mind and investing in public transportation, less reliance on motor vehicles, intensively developing actually affordable housing.
