We are legal counsel to White Cherry Developments Inc. which owns land in the City of Pickering. Its land is among the 15 parcels which were removed from the Greenbelt on December 14, 2022 and which are proposed to be returned to the Greenbelt through Bill 136. Its lands are also proposed to be subject to agricultural easements, also through Bill 136. Our clients strongly oppose Bill 136 as it applies to their lands and requests that the Honourable Minister Paul Calandra and the Standing Committee on Heritage, Infrastructure and Cultural Policy, give careful and fulsome consideration to the within submission.
