I have lived in the Clarkson…

I have lived in the Clarkson area for over 50 years. This area has grown substantially over the years, and continues to do so. The quality of our air has always been an issue with the various industries located in our area. It is my understanding that Ash Grove Mississauga Cement Plant has had five years to install equipment that would reduce the emission of certain gases, and has for whatever reason been unable to do so, and are now requesting an extension for another 7 years. As a resident of this community, I strongly oppose that they are granted this extension, and in addition, respectfully request that an independent air quality study be conducted to analyze the air quality in our neighborhood. With all the proposals for new housing in this area being considered, it is imperative that air quality be determined before more residents are occupying this area. Thank you.
