I support the comments submitted by the Canadian Coalition for Invasive Plant Regulation on November 30, 2023.

Additionally, I urge the Ministry to accept and implement the recommendations of the Auditor General of Ontario in the November 2022 audit "Management of Invasive Species", and reiterate the need for more emphasis on terrestrial invasive species, including risk assessments and databases of invasive species. Invasive plants sold in the horticulture sector present the most cost-effective opportunity to prevent or reduce impacts of invasive plants on biodiversity and minimize the costs of invasive species management in the future.
