We have purchased a nearby property. And as we get to know the area, my concern, if the "medical campus" is built, is for the loss of prime land and contamination of the waterways that go through and around the proposed site. There are many unused, already developed properties and lands in Ontario where a complex of this manner could be built. We must stop tearing up the land we all rely on for clean air and water in the name of development and forward momentum. There is no future to move towards if previously clean drinking water is contaminated and existing carbon sinks are dug up and land that can provide shelter for wildlife and food for families is eliminated. When looking towards the future we must keep a bigger picture in mind. One that leaves a livable environment for future generations.
