I agree wood is, in a way, better than concrete in that it doesn’t create as many emissions to produce. Timber is very strong, and has been used to build ancient cathedral buildings that have lasted since the Middle Ages. But a lot of trees were cut back then. With the building boom, there is the risk of deforestation as in the Middle Ages. Also, wood is not animal or insect proof. Metal is, though metal does involve mining. I think it is best to use a variety of building materials, and to build to last. Also, we must preserve as many existing buildings, rather than tearing them down and building new ones.
