I agree wood is, in a way, better than concrete in that it doesn’t create as many emissions to produce. Timber is very strong, and has been used to build ancient cathedral buildings that have lasted since the Middle Ages. But a lot of trees were cut back then. Read more

This will allow for additional construction with greater efficiency much like several states in the USA. As a renewable resource Ontarian would benefit from the entire process starting with the forester, wood processors, lumber yards, sales force, to the home owners. This is a win win!

Modular homes are indeed affordable, however, Canada Revenue do not acknowledge them as prime residences. In fact, CRA's recent changes to heavily tax such units in their locations have caused numerous seniors to have to give up their modular homes and move to seniors residences.
