I am a parent to three children under the age of 13. I am concerned that with the current emissions kids are already sick enough with respiratory illnesses, clean fresh air is a basic human right, please do not increase the air pollutants of SO2, NO2 and CO, kindly note that Mississauga, is a growing and thriving city, the population density is on the rise, with the growing need for affordable housing, condominiums are the way to go, with high rise condominium towers that would be in the path of wind blowing toxins directly into them.
Kindly look at increasing production in the network of other 11 plants and 43 terminals in North America.
Keep Mississauga out of any increase in site specific standards for 10 years, 1 hour average of 1256 ug/m3 for SO2 and 1653 ug/m3 for NOx.
I am appealing to the decision makers, to their wisdom, that clean air is a basic human right, by profiteering from increasing production, manufacturers are putting the health of my kids at risk.
The weight of burden to do what is right is on the shoulders of humans, that breathe, so I appeal to you as a human, to look out my kids who are still too young to advocate for clean air.
