Putting a price on carbon is essential to reduce green house gas emissions. Calling it a tax is a conservative trick. A company is not allowed to just dump their garbage anywhere they want. They pay a company to pick it up and dispose of it in an environmentally way. This is not a tax but the price for the service. If a company wants to reduce this cost then produce less garbage. Putting a price on carbon is the same thing. Reduce your carbon emissions to reduce your cost.
This should focus on the important things like clean air, clean water, clean land instead of buck-a-beer.
