The repeal of a carbon-trading proposal is absurd. All of the analysis that has been conducted in Canada, including in the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia has revealed that carbon-pricing, as would be enacted by the legislation this seeks to repeal, is progressive (not regressive as Doug Ford suggests) and does not hinder economic growth (as is indicated by the rankings of the aforementiond provinces in terms of growth under their pricing programs).
