While I am encouraged by the government's commitment to undertake a comprehensive environmental assessment, I continue to maintain my staunch opposition to the proposed project. The potential risks associated with converting the site into a megadump recycling facility, including the disturbance of hazardous materials and contamination of surrounding areas, remain significant and deeply troubling.

Given the sensitivity of the surrounding environment, including the presence of the Sydenham River and Molly's Creek, it is imperative that we prioritize the preservation of our natural ecosystems and the health of our community. Therefore, I respectfully urge the government to consider the findings of the environmental assessment and ultimately reject the proposed amendment to re-implement and expand the landfill site in Dresden.
