Our family are very concerned residents who are appalled at the forced urban boundary expansions being re-enabled by Bill 162.

This severely compromises our visionary Regional Official Plan, will destroy thousands of acres of farmland in Waterloo Region, threatens our water supply as confirmed in the attached report that developers and certain area Mayors did everything possible to prevent the provincial government from seeing, and will make climate change targets almost impossible to meet.

It is very clear that this Bill is not in the best public interest. Please remove Schedule 1, delete all sections of Schedule 3 pertaining to Waterloo Region - including Map #3, and remove Schedule 5.

We would also like to highlight the submissions from CELA, Environmental Defence and the Grand River Environmental Network on Bill 162 and further reinforce their concerns and excellent recommendations.
