Haldimand Is over run with development that is detrimental to our lives, environment , food, air and water.
Regional road 66 , from highway #6 all the way to McClung Rd and heading South on McClung Rd to Highway 54 is literally a sea of development.
A housing corporation has homes constantly more and more every year every and developed on traditional Farm land.
Local area greenbelt and MZo have Ben fought over and decided four elections including the province losing a long term conservative seat in the riding.
I have a verified statement from their Representative of the housing development company that 1000's of new families will live their before the development is finished.
We have a 120 year old bridge in the middle of town that the provincial government refuses to fix and cost a family their home as it is attached to the bridge.
The bridge is deemed not safe and could end up costing people their lives.
45,000 indigenous people live on a small reservation in the area and yet this government continues to open land up to immigrants, development and does not build for them and has even as seen acres of build able land stagnant on Douglas Creek in Caledonia and this was and is government and developers that pushed the envelope as indigenous hunting and living areas were and are being poached upon from Developers in Caledonia and Haldimand county.
Our highways are over crowding causing massive carbon and air pollution in Caledonia.
Crops are affected
Including outside growth of indigenous tobacco used in traditional ceremonies and cannabis used for medical treatment of various forms of cancer.
Minister we ask your leave our farm land, horticulture and agriculture I. Caledonia and Haldimand county l areas alone and develop elsewhere to preserve our rights, ways of life, food certainties aur and water qualities.
