Please demand a full environmental assessment. Surely the lives of an entire community is worth it. There is so much at risk here.

- The facility is going to be within 1 km of the town

-Risk of asbestos and silicosis due to breaking down building materials

-2 schools are within a kilometre distance of the facility

-700 trucks per day are expected in the proposal, our children are in school buses 4 hours daily, farm machinery utilizes these roads (combines can take up almost the entire road) Let alone all the emissions from the trucks!!!

-The property was NOT A LANDFILL IT WAS USED FOR 95% FLY ASH from an incinerator and was CLOSED OVER 40 YEARS AGO!!!!

-They tried to sneak things through without telling the municipality or the town’s residents. We found out by sheer luck googling Black History Month. They tried to blindside the whole municipality by not informing us of the landfill proposal!!!

-There are endangered species at risk, some of which this location is the only one in Canada that they live!!!

-The proposed landfill is in a floodplain, which could cause a huge disaster!!!!! They plan to store leachate in ponds that will only be emptied every few years. Imagine a flood bringing leachate all through our homes and into the waterways!!!!

-They DID NOT INTEND TO DO AN ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT at all!!! This is proposterius in an area that is proposed to be the biggest landfill in Ontario, possibly Canada!!!!

-The permit they are trying to utilize is from 1971

-That it will eventually be the biggest mega dump in Ontario if not, Canada, located within 1 km from a small town putting us all at risk!!!

-The entire town will be within a 3 km radius of the landfill! This is NOT SAFE

-The Ministry of environment itself states that any landfill within a 3.5 km distance of a populated area can cause adverse effects

-They have already compromised one local waterwell and there are many more that will be affected

- They intend to dump wastewater into a natural fed spring, which feeds into the Sydenham river, and then the great lake system. They also intend to dump wastewater in the fourth concession drainage ditch, I’m certain the farming community will NOT like this.

- They intend to take water from the aquifer, which feeds all of the water wells in the surrounding area. This will put local residents at risk of losing their safe, clean, water supply

-Many people from ALL OVER ONTARIO are against this landfill location

-The St. Clair Conservation AUTHORITY has a GAG ORDER against speaking out!!!!
