This site absolutely needs an environmental assessment. It should not be permitted to expand the size and purpose of this dormant landfill without a comprehensive assessment.York1 is attempting to bypass this assessment because of approvals that do not consider the new construction, expansion, and hazards to new residential developments that did not exist in the 1980's. Without this assessment our municipality cannot fight this company using Bill 167, and doesn't have any say in the safety of our community, heritage, and agriculture.
