I am registering my strong opposition to the revocation of the public’s ability to appeal the adoption or amendment of Official Plans and Zoning By-Laws to the Tribunal as laid out in Bill 185.
The province of Ontario belongs to the people, as citizens we should have the right to appeal. Such denials erode democracy. When last I voted in an Ontario election it was a democracy, we should all be able to appreciate such a gift.
Do not take this freedom to appeal away from the electorate and all Ontarians who very often add insights and ideas when appealing, who believe a democracy, by definition, must allow appeals.
