Mr. Ford,
Your parties plan to eliminate the Cap and Trade Act is nothing short of an egregious abuse of power at a time when Ontario needs unity and above all a future for its children. We are in a terrible place when a new party comes to power and their mandate is to undo the very little environmental regulations our province has; and instead to propel us backwards years if not decades. This is a move that will be felt for generations to come. We need to at the very least maintain the status quo. We are not asking you to increase environmental regulations, rather just let this be. While I admit, I did not vote for you, I believe that the majority of those who did were not placing a vote for this elimination. You have a family - think of them. Think of the environment they will grow up in, if we don't start making changes for the better, and not back peddle on sound environmental policy.
I've no doubt many, more qualified people will post the scientific and economic facts and benefits of the CTA... I merely appeal to you as an Ontarian, who I know only wants what is best for his province and his family. Is this really in our best interest?
Regards,
JM
