I have several concerns with Bill 185, and the far reaching effects that this Bill when combined with the Proposed provincial planning statement, will have with regards to sprawl in Ontario and resulting effects on the best farmland in Canada.
1. 3rd party appeal rights--vexatious or frivolous appeals can be limited without eliminating this vital due process.
2. I DO NOT support appeal rights at the OLT
re: the ability of private-sector applications for a boundary of area of settlement
(settlement area expansions). Status quo is supported.
