Reading the proposal all waterway Provincial Parks would have live bait banned - although it does appear that worms are not covered under the ban? Minnows and leaches are specifically mentioned but not worms. Every year we make a pilgrimage up to Missinaibi Provincial Park to fish Walleye. The park is primitive at best, the drive is long and sometimes access is cut off due to wash outs on the logging road that leads to the park. The only reason to go up there is for the fishing. With a ban on using minnows in this park, if adopted, would leave little reason to make the arduous journey. So you would get double protection - no threat from bait fish and no personal use on my part.
