As a professional forester I support the plan to include ESA approvals as part of the FMP approval process. Providing for endangered species protection is valid but a duplication of planning and providing proof of so is unnecessary if all the requirements can be in an FMP under the CFSA. I believe this a move towards reducing burden while still be able to maintain species protection and management.
