This proposal is sadly lacking in detail, and publi consultation has been non-existent. I am located in an area that will be directly impacted by the activity, and although withing 200 meters (as the crow flies, not by street), knew nothing about it until reading of it in the news.

My concerns are as follows:
Noise: I can already hear activity at the site, and the significant increase will directly impact my quality of life and property values. I would like to see noise barriers installed and specific requirements imposed that require all noise complaints to be actioned and taken seriously by the company.

Air: dust from the current site has been a concern in the past. I'm sure that odours will become an issue with the new activity. I would like to see conditions added that require proactive control and mitigation of odours. I would also like conditions imposed to require all odour complaints to be actioned and taken seriously by the company.

Traffic: I dont think that the current infrastructure will support the increased volume of truck traffic that can be expected based on the proposal. I would like conditions added that impose traffic control, prevent large backups of trucks queuing for the site and require immediate cleanup of any solid or liquid waste spilled during transportation. For example, water with waste foods spilling as trucks start and stop.

Extended comment period: I believe that additional supporting information should be provided to the public proactively about this request, in place of a public meeting. For example, a copy of any report, study or presentation that may have been provided at a public meeting. This material should be available in the registry (not on request), and provided directly to nearby residents that may be impacted by the operation.

Extended notice: I believe that notice has not been adequately provided to nearby residents. Information should be delivered a second time in a zone that is larger than the original 200m.
